80 Elements is a Vancouver based web and mobile development firm looking to hire an ambitious and talented mobile developer. You should apply if you are someone who loves to build apps for iOS, is object oriented, loves to learn new things and gain killer experience building apps for clients in the Music Industry. You are someone who identifies solutions rather than hangs out on problems, and you place as much value on the process as you do the end product.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Developing innovative mobile applications, primarily for iPhone and iPad
- Collaborate with small teams on direction and user experience
- Work with project leads to keep projects on scope and within budget
- Ensure all projects are properly documented
- Perform all testing across multiple devices and OS’s
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Proven experience developing, supporting and enhancing applications for iPhone and iPad.
- The ability to prototype new applications quickly, while considering current and future mobile platforms, and future potential features
- Excellent level of proficiency in PHP, Objective-C and JavaScript specifically for mobile Web
- The ability to create clean, well documented, object oriented code, using best practices
- Knowledge of web service technologies and services (specifically REST APIs and JSON)
- A working knowledge of the Adobe suite of design tools (Fireworks, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, and a professional approach to your work
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
Nice to Have
- 3-5 years experience with Web development
- 2+ years experience with mobile development
- 2+ years experience with HTML5, CSS
- 1+ years of experience with Drupal
- Experience with location technologies (GPS, compass, maps, etc.)
- Experience developing, supporting and enhancing applications for Android, Blackberry, and other emerging mobile platforms
- Experience with client/server architecture
- Experience in a small team environment
